Air India: Struggling with loss of revenue, Air India has shut its offices in five European cities citing zero operations amid Coronavirus pandemic. The carrier has decided to stop its flight services in Vienna, Milan, Madrid, Copenhagen and Stockholm due to dipped demand. "In view of the COVID situation, AI has decided to close down these stations and would immediately initiate action for the closure in consultation with local lawyers and advise the time lines, by which the station will be closed," it stated.

There is no AI flights under Vande Bharat Mission there and regular scheduled flights also not operating currently, it has clarified.

The cost cutting move has been made effective immediately since it was not financially viable for Air India to operate on these routes.
