An Air India Express flight bound for Doha was forced to return to Kozhikode Airport shortly after takeoff on Wednesday morning due to a technical issue. The Boeing 737 aircraft, operating Flight IX375, had been airborne for approximately two hours of its four-hour journey when the problem was detected.

The pilot made the decision to divert the flight back as a precautionary measure and the plane safely landed back at Kozhikode without incident. The airline confirmed that the return was prompted by a technical fault and stated that a thorough investigation is currently underway to determine the cause.

"There was some technical issue in the aircraft's cabin AC. It was not an emergency landing," the official said.
