New Delhi: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on Wednesday asked commanders to be ready to meet all challenges and enhance capabilities for responding in multiple domains at short notice.


Speaking at the inauguration of Air Force Commanders' Conference at Air headquarter in New Delhi, the Air Chief Marshal further emphasised the need for conserving assets, optimally utilising resources and the need for jointmanship in a bid to boost National Security.






Notably, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated Air Force Commanders' Conference at Air Headquarter in New Delhi on Wednesday.









The conference was attended by MoS Ajay Bhatt and Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar, along with senior commanders of the Indian Air Force.


It is to be noted that in a major step towards the call for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, the Defence Ministry is set to come out with a third list of indigenisation on Thursday.


The Defence Minister will be releasing the list comprising major equipment and platforms that are slated to be completely indigenised by December 2025.


The third list builds on the first list of 101 items and the second list of 108 items which were promulgated on August 21, 2020 and May 31, 2021 respectively.


The third list will comprise over 100 items, including complex equipment and systems which are being developed and are likely to translate into firm orders over the next five years.


Moreover, orders worth more than Rs 2,10,000 crore are likely to be placed on the Industry in the next five years as a part of the items covered in the third list.
