New Delhi: Samajwadi Party's (SP) Shivpal Yadav on Sunday said that he has been waiting to get a "responsible position" in the party for the past one-and-a-half years. This came a day after SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav claimed that no one honours him in the party. Shivpal Yadav while talking to media said, "I have been waiting for a responsible position in the party. It has been 1.5 years and I am still waiting. I believe all party members should unite and fight in upcoming 2019 general elections."

Meanwhile, Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday said that no one respects him now and maybe people will honour him after his demise. Speaking about the same, the warring uncle of SP president Akhilesh Yadav, Shivpal said, "I respect Netaji. I was always with him and will always be there with him."
