New Delhi: Finally justice is being served to 13-year-old Ankit Vishkarma, who is suffering through Ventricular septal defect (hole) in his heart; and is likely to get his ailment treated very soon. 


Ankit who is a resident of Varanasi came to Delhi with his parents for treatment; “BHU doctors in Varanasi suggested us to get treatment in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences” said his father; but the family was dejected by hospital authorities and were given a date of 2024 for surgery; which is after 5.5 years.

Considering the severity of the issue, the family; who could not afford an expensive private hospital, felt disheartened.

Immediately after matter came to light, ABP News covered the story and raised the issue with senior authorities at AIIMS.



As an impact of the news coverage, the AIIMS authorities on Friday called Ankit’s parents for a meeting and are likely to conduct his surgery soon. Also, a lot of people have offered to help the family financially after the news coverage.

Ankit’s father works at Iron mill and could not afford a treatment at any private hospital.
