“I am very happy that he is going to be back home, I am relieved. He will also be attending Parliament session tomorrow," Karti was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
After spending 106 days in custody, the former union minister was granted bail by the apex court.
SC granted bail to Chidambaram on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh with two surety of like amount. The apex court has, however, said that the Congress leader will not leave the country without prior permission of the court. SC has also restrained P Chidambaram from giving press interviews or making statements with regard to the case. "Order granting bail to P Chidambaram will not have bearing on any other accused in the case," the top court added.

Chidambaram's passport will remain confiscated and he will also make himself available for interrogation in the matter.
The court directed Chidambaram to deposit bail bonds of Rs 2 lakh with two sureties subject to satisfaction of the special judge hearing the case.
Minutes after the SC’s decision Karti Chidambaram took to Twitter to announce about Chidambaram’s bail.
“Phew. At last after 106 days,” he tweeted.
