New Delhi: Amid concerns post the Taliban taking over Afghanistan, the government on Saturday said all Indians citizens in Kabul awaiting evacuation are safe.

All Indians citizens in Kabul awaiting evacuation are safe. They were offered lunch and have now left for Kabul airport, ANI reported government sources as saying.

Continuing the evacuation of Indian nationals stranded in Afghanistan, an Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J transport aircraft earlier took off from Kabul with over 85 Indians.

The aircraft landed in Tajikistan for refuelling, ANI reported government sources as saying.

Sources added the Indian government officials are helping in the evacuation of Indian citizens on the ground in Kabul.
