New Delhi: ABP News has accessed an audio clip which purportedly was the last conversation of dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Abu Dujana and Indian Army Major who had repeatedly asked him to surrender.

Dujana, more wanted at one time than militant poster boy Burhan Wani, was killed along with an associate in an operation in south Kashmir's Pulwama on Tuesday.

In the audio clip, he admitted that Pakistan was responsible for the turmoil in Kashmir. However, he was firm in not surrendering and continuing the ongoing gun battle in which eventually he was eliminated.

He talks about how Pakistan is paying ‘games’. Sources said Abu Ismail, who had perpetrated the Amarnath yatra attack, had replaced him as the Lashkar commander. A ‘miffed’ Dujana felt sidelined and was planning to be a part of Al Qaeda new wing whose chief is Zakir Musa.

The audio conversation assumes significance as it again leaves Pakistani exposed in organizing terror attacks in India.

The Army is yet to find out how the communication between Dujana and the Army Major took place.

Dujana had masterminded most attacks in south Kashmir in recent years and had become a thorn in the forces' side.

"He (Dujana) was believed to have replaced Abu Qasim as the Lashkar head of operations in south Kashmir in 2015 when the latter was killed," Union home ministry spokesperson Ashok Prasad said in Delhi.
