New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday spoke at ABP Shikhar Sammelan where he hit out at PM Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath as he also talked about what set Congress back in Uttar Pradesh.
ABP News organised a Chattisgarh-special Shikhar Sammelan as the Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government is set to complete three years in governance on December 17.

Talking about his purpose as a politician, CM Bhupesh said: “I had come to serve in politics, whether I was in power, or in opposition. My aim is to serve the public. The fight for the rights of the people has to be taken up”.
“I am working with Priyanka ji, not serving her. I am working for the party. I am working wherever I am getting the opportunity. I am fortunate to be working with Priyanka ji in UP,” he added.
Talking about the Congress party’s poor performance in Uttar Pradesh, the election incharge opined: “Dalits and farmers were with us. Dalits were wooed by Kanshi Ram, backwards were taken by Mulayam Singh. Due to this our vote bank lags behind. Those who were upper castes were taken by BJP. Many situations have arisen, due to which people cut off from us. Because of this the Congress had such a situation. Although the ideology of Congress is still alive in the hearts of the people”.
“There is SP, BJP and Congress in UP. The BSP is not in the fight at all. The public is preparing to slam the Yogi government on the floor. People will bring Congress to power in UP. CM will be decided later,” he said.
“Priyanka Gandhi is talking about farmers and youth. She is talking about women’s issues,” he added.
Bhupesh Baghel also alleged that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is the “B team of BJP”. “Where there is talk of partition, Owaisi is sent ther,” he claimed.
Talking about West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, he said that the Trinamool Congress chief has changed: “Mamta Banerjee is a firebrand lady, but now she has come under the purview of central agencies. She has many dreams. She has to decide whether she wants to move ahead by fighting the Congress, or whether she wants to enhance her stature by fighting the BJP. Today Mamata Banerjee has changed”.
The senior Congress leader also called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “jumlebaaz”, and justified that remark, saying: “When the people of his party say that certain issue was a jumla, then why are they stopping me from calling me a jumlebaaz”.
Bhupesh Baghel also praised Rahul Gandhi, as he said: “If anyone is working to warn the country against the Modi government, then it is Rahul Gandhi. If someone is calling a spade a spade, then it is Rahul”.
Meanwhile, as per the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Naxalites have been reduced in the region now so there are not many questions about tackling Naxalism.
“We are talking about health services. That is why people have more faith in us. We have won the hearts of the tribals. This is our biggest success,” he said.
