New Delhi: Sanjay Singh, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member, filed a complaint with the Lucknow police on Friday, alleging that he got a death threat from an unknown individual contacting him from a certain number.


According to Police Commissioner D K Thakur, an FIR has been filed on Mr Singh's allegation at the Gomti Nagar police station in Lucknow.

The Senior AAP leader on his official Twitter handle writes, "I got death threats again. Maybe some people want to kill me. No problem but I want to tell those cowardly goons that I will not stop raising my voice against crime and corruption. Lucknow Police should take note of this number from which the call was made and which was diverted to my associate Ajit."






Singh also provided the police with the phone number from which he got the threat.


D K Thakur, the Commissioner of Police, stated that an investigation into Mr Singh's complaint had commenced.
