New Delhi: Health Minister of Delhi, Satyendra Jain who is protesting along with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal , Deputy CM Manish Sisodia  demanding calling off the strike by four IAS officers, took ill on Sunday night and had to be admitted in hospital.

Ketone level in Jain’s body had increased and he was suffering from headache , bodyache and was having difficulty in breathing and passing urine.

Kejriwal tweeted to inform about Jain’s health status.  He also informed that on sixth day of his fast, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is doing well. It is Kejriwal’s eighth day of strike which is staged to demand a direction to the IAS officers working under the Delhi administration to end their 'undeclared strike', among others.


The Minister was admitted to LNJP Hospital after his health deteriorated during the ongoing 'dharna' at Raj Niwas on late Sunday night.


Also Dr. JS Passey informed that his health condition is now stable.

"After watching his (Satyendra Jain) ketone report, we decided to admit him to hospital. His blood pressure is normal now. He is having some breathing issues, but stable," Dr Passey, LNJP Hospital told ANI.

Jain, along with Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Cabinet minister Gopal Rai was on a sit-in strike at Raj Niwas, the official residence of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal since June 11.

The Aam Aadmi Party's held a protest march to the prime minister's residence on Sunday which started from Mandi house but the protesters were contained at Sansad Marg. For the same, the Delhi Police said no permission was sought for it, even as AAP leaders alleged that party supporters were being prevented from taking part in the rally.
