New Delhi: All eyes in the political landscape would be on Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who shall be filing his nominations from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh today.


Rahul is expected to face a stiff battle from Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Smriti Irani who has left no stone upturned in his campaign efforts in the Congress bastion. The battle between Rahul Gandhi and BJP's Union Minister is being dubbed as one of the most high voltage duels in this general elections.

Apart from contesting from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi shall also be fighting on a Congress ticket from Wayanad in Kerala.The Congress President filed his nomination from Wayanad on April 4th.

Voting in Amethi shall take place on the 6th of May, as part of the fifth phase of voting in the upcoming elections.
