At least 15 people died and 61 were injured after a truck hit three buses that were stationed at the roadside in Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The buses were carrying people returning from Union Home Minister Amit Shah's rally. 


As per the latest information, all the deceased and injured are from the Sidhi district. So far, five dead bodies have not been identified so far. The deceased include a hostel superintendent. Ten teachers and seven patwaris are also among the injured. The condition of a policeman is reported to be critical. 


Around 60-70 passengers were onboard each bus.


Earlier PTI reported officials as saying that the death toll in an accident in which a truck hit three stationary buses on the Rewa-Satna border in Madhya Pradesh has gone up to 14 and 60 are injured.


Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met the victims of the accident in Rewa hospital. The CM announced government jobs for dependent relatives of deceased persons and Rs 10 lakh ex gratia.


He said that aid of Rs 2 lakh will be given to those severely injured and Rs 1 lakh to those with normal injuries.






Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed grief over the loss of lives and offered condolences.
