Jalandhar:  Ten kg of gold, worth Rs 3 crore in the international market, was looted by six bike-borne men from the office of a company sanctioning gold loans here, police said.

One of the gang members posed as a customer and rang the doorbell of the office at Ramamandi area and as the security guard approached, asked him to open the main gate, they said.

As the guard opened the gate, all the gang members barged in, held him at gunpoint and asked for the key to the locker room, police said.

The miscreants made off with 10 kg gold, with an estimated market value of Rs three crore, police said.

Footage obtained from a CCTV camera installed outside the office was being analysed, police said, adding that they would have a clear picture once they collected the images captured by the camera inside the office.

No arrest has been made in connection with the incident, police said, adding that sketches of four persons have been released by them.
