The havoc of deadly Coronavirus in the country has not stopped yet. Every day the death toll is increasing at a record level. This virus has killed more than 2.5 lakh people so far. According to the latest data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 3,48,421 fresh cases of infection, 3,55,338 discharges and 4,205 deaths have been reported in the country in last 24 hours.

With this, the total cases of Covid-19 recorded till date in the country counts to 2,33,40,938 while the death toll due to deadly dieases has been pushed to 2,54,197. There are as many as 37,04,099 active cases of Coronavirus in the country however 1,93,82,642 patients have recovered and been discharged.

The death rate of corona in the country is 1.09 per cent while the recovery rate is less than 83 per cent. The active case has been reduced to more than 16 percent. 


The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday said the number of daily Covid-19 cases are on decline in at least 18 states and union territories, including Maharashtra and Delhi. 


Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Telangana, Chandigarh, Ladakh, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are the states and Union Territories where the coronavirus cases are on the decline.
