New Delhi: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan fell prey to ruthless trolling after he misattributed Indian Nobel laureate Rabdindranath Tagore’s lines to renowned Lebanese writer and poet Kahlil Gibran.

Khan posted a quot by Rabidnranath Tagore from his official Twitter handle but attributed it wrongly to Gibran.

The quote posted by Khan read:  “I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy.”

He captioned the image as “Those who discover and get to understand the wisdom of Gibran's words, cited below, get to live a life of contentment."

Twitterati soon took notice of the “blunder” by Khan and asked Khan to attribute the quote to the right person.

Soon #RabindranathTagore started trending on the microblogging website.

Few days back Khan was mocked on the social media for sitting while all the world leaders were standing at the opening ceremony of the SCO Summit held in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek on Thursday. Khan was trolled for not being aware of the diplomatic protocol.

Here is how Twitter reacted to his latest Twitter fiasco:
