Buying a new car is always a big moment but it can get a bit irritating if the waiting period stretches too far. Here’s a table comparing the waiting period of popular sub-4 metre SUVs across 19 cities to ensure you have a pleasant buying experience.

Maruti Vitara Brezza: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Patna and Indore residents can have their Vitara Brezza delivered as soon as they are done with the formalities. Buyers in Bengaluru might have to wait for three months while those in Noida, Kolkata, Faridabad can get their car delivered within 45 days or six weeks.

Hyundai Venue: The newest member in the sub-4m SUV club is already rising through the ranks with the least waiting period being in Chennai at 10 days. There’s no waiting period in Mumbai and elsewhere, you’d have to wait for at least 15 days to 2 months.

Tata Nexon: Buyers in Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Ghaziabad, Chandigarh, Indore and Noida are a lucky bunch as there’s no waiting at all these locations. On the contrary, the wait in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai and Patna can extend up to 45 days.

Mahindra XUV300: You can have the XUV300 right after finishing your paperwork in Bengaluru and Patna, whereas in Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur it can last upto six to eight weeks. If you have the XUV300 locked in your sights, Mahindra’s launching the XUV300’s AMT version later this month.

Ford EcoSport: The sub-4m Ford has the least waiting period among its peers. Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Indore and Noida buyers can get their car right after finishing the paperwork. Else, its a 15 day wait across every city. The Ford EcoSport recently received a price update along with a new Thunder edition.
