The Creta Sports Edition can be had in Phantom Black as standard while Polar White with a black roof can be had at a premium of Rs 11,000 over the above-mentioned prices. The Sports Edition is expected to replace the existing dual-tone variant of the SUV as the new offering provides better value at roughly the same price point.
The Hyundai Creta Sports Edition shares its features with the SX variant but gets some extras over the latter. These comprise of projector headlamps with smoked effect, blacked-out front grille, power folding ORVMs, silver roof rails and skid plates along with a rear spoiler. The interiors also get the black theme for the leather wrapped steering wheel with contrast stitching, while the seats get ‘Creta’ insignia. The front and rear AC vents get a silver garnish.
But the highlight is the addition of the electric sunroof which was earlier limited to the more expensive SX Auto, SX(O) and SX(O) Executive variants of the Creta. Other goodies are similar to that of the SX and includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, wireless charging, smart key with push button start-stop, rear washer and wiper, and more.
The Sports Edition is priced at a premium of Rs 53,000 over the SX variant it is based on. This variant should appeal to those looking for a Creta equipped with a sunroof, albeit at a lower price.
