Many dealerships have started accepting unofficial bookings for a refundable amount ranging between Rs 11,000 to Rs 51,000
Hyundai has started dispatching the first units of the 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift to its dealerships across the country. Seen here is an image of the updated model from one of Hyundai’s dealerships in Kerala. Meanwhile, several dealerships have started accepting unofficial bookings for the updated SUV for a refundable amount ranging between Rs 11,000 to Rs 51,000. These dealers have promised that deliveries of the updated SUV will begin from the last week of May.
We expect the Creta facelift to be priced between Rs 9.35 lakh and Rs 13.90 lakh. For reference, the outgoing version is priced between Rs 9.29 lakh and Rs 13.03 lakh. The narrowing gap in retail fuel prices of petrol and diesel has led to petrol-powered cars becoming a more attractive package despite not being as fuel-efficient as their diesel counterparts. As a result, Hyundai will, for the first time, introduce a fully-loaded petrol SX (O) variant of the Creta in the country. Check out more details about the 2018 Creta’s variants, features and expected prices here.
Exterior changes on the Creta facelift comprise of an updated ‘cascading’ grille, new projector headlamp design laced with chrome, a different fog lamp housing and new dual-tone machine-cut 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear remains largely unchanged with just a nip and a tuck around the number plate housing. And although the cabin gets a familiar layout, the higher variants are now expected to feature cruise control, power adjustable driver seat and what is arguably the biggest draw for an Indian car buyer - an electric sunroof.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta will continue to rival the Renault Captur, Renault Duster and Jeep Compass in India. Related: Hyundai Creta Facelift Unofficial Bookings Underway; Launch Expected In May 2018
