New Delhi: Honda has taken the covers off its new and much-awaited 250 cc CBR250RR in Indonesia at a price of 63 million Indonesian Rupiah. The Indian price equivalent will be Rs. 3.2 lakh (approx.). The Honda first introduced the CBR250RR as a Light Weight Super Sports motorcycle at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Interesting many enthusiasts since, the launch of the motorcycle has been much awaited. The swanky design on a light weight super sports bike left many bike-lovers drooling for the launch of the motorcycle.

The side profile of the motorcycle is perfect with a matte black finish and red accents; while the split dual-eye LED headlights look daring which come with DRLs. The split dual exhaust points way up, which can help the rider wade through water-logging, as they happen in India, even if you will commit to taking this premium motorcycle out in the monsoons. The telescopic upside down front suspension contrasts from the body color. The rear uses the 5-step preload pro-link suspension.

The 310 mm disc on the front wheel looks large, while the rear also sports a 240 mm disc for better braking performances. ABS will be made optional in most markets but in India, the equipment may have to be made mandatory, when launched. The instrument cluster is also fully digital, under a tall windscreen; all of which render the much-needed premium look and appeal to the motorcycle.

The tune states of the 250 cc, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC engine of the Honda CBR250RR are not revealed yet. The market, however, expects it to come high tuned. The Honda CBR250RR will use the Throttle-by-Wire (TbW) system and so it will likely have three riding modes.

The Kawasaki Ninja 250 and the Yamaha YZF-R25 will be the rivals of the Honda CBR250RR in the 250 cc premium light weight sports motorcycles segment. The Indian launch of the Honda CBR250RR is likely to be scheduled akin to the South Asian launch.
