The Cliq is Honda Motorcycles’ most affordable scooter yet. Based on a new platform, the design allows for a lot of storage space for heavy loads. The mini scooter comes with the same 110cc motor also used in the Activa and makes 8PS @ 7000rpm and 8.94Nm of torque @ 5500rpm. Top speed is a claimed 83kmph.
The headlamp is a low body-mounted unit while the front body panel extends to the handlebar. The seat is wide and long enough to seat two comfortably. The Cliq comes in four colours – Patriot Red, Moroccan Blue, Orcus Grey and Black. Features include a mobile charging socket in the under-seat storage bay. Optional accessories include a rear grab rail. The bike will be available in two variants - Std and Deluxe (with graphics).
The Cliq has an underbone-type frame and gets multi-link suspension like the Activa at the front and a single coil spring at the rear. The tyres sizes are the same 90/100 – R10 as the Navi though the Cliq gets special block pattern tyres for better grip on bad roads. Brakes are 130mm drum units on both ends with Combined Braking System (CBS).
The Cliq retails at Rs 43,076 (ex-showroom, Pune for the standard version and Rs 43,569 for the deluxe variant. While the launch was for Maharashtra, the bike will be launched next in the state of Tamil Nadu.
