A total of 23 accused in 6 different cases were produced before the court today. Accused in FIR No. 261 sent to 4-day remand. One accused sent to 3-day remand, five accused sent to 4-day remand and the remaining sent to 5-day remand, said counsel of the accused, as reported by ANI.
Haryana Additional Chief Secretary Home, TVSN Prasad said, "The situation is quickly returning to normalcy. We are tackling sporadic activities. We have adequate force and requested the Government of India and they have been prompt in giving us 24 companies..."
Home Department, Government of Haryana, issues order stating, "A committee consisting of the following officers/officials is constituted to monitor Social Media platforms to prevent provocative material/videos/photographs/hate speech etc from being circulated so that law and order and communal harmony is maintained. The committee will coordinate with all relevant agencies to take remedial/corrective measures in his regard, ANI reported.
Police took the accused of Nuh riots on remand for 2 days.
Speaking on the Nuh violence, Congress MP Deepender S Hooda said, "The government should have taken preventive measures. Such a situation was created in Haryana due to the administrative failure of the government in the state. We demand from the government to take all measures to ensure peace in the state and also to not spare the guilty. The govt should take moral responsibility for the incident and make public the facts about it..Haryana CM should resign and give the command to us. We will show how to give security to all in the state," as quoted by ANI.
On the current situation in Haryana's Nuh district, SP Nuh, Varun Singla said, "After the initial incident, no fresh violence has been reported. The forces have been deployed in all areas. Around 14 companies of the central paramilitary forces have been called from outside while 21 companies of the Haryana Police have also been deployed...Vigilance is being done day and night...The sense of normalization is coming. If we talk about the last 24 hours, then four fresh FIRs have been registered," as quoted by ANI.
Haryana government partially lifts mobile internet suspension from 1300 hours to 1600 hours today in Nuh, Faridabad and Palwal districts and territorial jurisdiction of Sub division Sohna, Pataudi, and Manesar of district Gurugram, as reported by ANI.
At least 165 people have been arrested and 83 FIRs have been filed pertaining to the clashes in Nuh.
Security has been strengthened in Haryana's Nuh as a curfew is imposed here following clashes between two groups, as reported by ANI.
A total of 45 FIRs have been registered so far, and 139 people have been arrested pertaining to the violence. None of the FIRs filed carry the names of Bajrang Dal or Vishva Hindu Parishad. Three FIRs related to the videos posted on social media have been registered. A total of 10 URLs were identified.
The Haryana government on Wednesday decided to immediately shift the battalion headquarters of the 2nd India Reserve Battalion (IRB) from police complex Bhondsi to Nuh district to meet "imminent operational exigencies" of maintaining law and order and peace and security, PTI reported.
Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said, "Social media has played an important role in the Nuh incident, therefore, I've constituted a three-member committee. The committee will scan every social media platform (for posts) from 21st July to 31st July. If anyone has posted anything provocative, action will be taken against them as per law
Faridabad Police detained some people trying to create nuisance in Ballabhgarh. Around eight people, between 15 and 23 years of age, were detained and interrogation is underway, police said.
Varun Singla, SP Nuh, as reported by ANI, said, "Total 41 FIRs have been lodged till now and 116 people have been arrested on the basis of the investigation. We will apply for the police remand of the accused and the process is underway for the proper investigation of the matter."
On a plea in the Supreme Court relating to protest marches being organised over Nuh violence, the lawyer told the court that 23 protest marches are being organised in Delhi today and sought an urgent hearing in the matter, as reported by news agency ANI. CJI DY Chandrachud said it will consider hearing the plea after seeing the papers.
In Nuh, no violent incidents have occurred since yesterday. So far, 41 FIRs have been registered and 116 people have been arrested. Those people will be taken to court today and an investigation will take place. We'll take the required action based on the investigation," said DGP Haryana P.K. Agrawal, as reported by ANI.
The incitement of riots, its spread into parts of Gurugram without any constraint, triggering of violence and huge loss of public property and religious places prove the failure of law and order in Haryana just like Manipur," said BSP Chief Mayawati, as reported by news agency ANI.
Demonstration of Bajrang Dal began at Ghonda Chowk in Brahmapuri, Delhi against Nuh violence. Delhi Police and CRPF personnel present in large numbers.
Keeping in view the violence in some districts of Haryana bordering Delhi, elaborate security arrangements have been made at all sensitive places in Delhi and additional police forces have also been deployed where necessary. Any attempt to harm Delhi's security and communal harmony will be dealt with strictly, Delhi Police said, as reported by news agency ANI.
“It is unfortunate that a religious procession which was being carried out peacefully was attacked. However, such cases are not only limited to Nuh, but also happen in Rajasthan,” says BJP leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
“I want to appeal to everyone to maintain peace in the state. The ones who were behind this will face strict actions,” says Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala.
"Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that it (Nuh violence) was pre-planned so, this statement proves the failure of the government. If the government is saying that it was planned so the question arises what were they doing?" says Rajya Sabha Member and Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda.
"The BJP, the media and the forces standing with them have spread the kerosene of hatred across the country. Only love can douse this fire in the country," tweets Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
“I visited the site (Sector 57, Gurugram) earlier today and the situation there is peaceful and normal,” says Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav on overnight violence in Gurugram's Sector 57 area.
"We have conducted flag march as well...in Gurugram one death reported in Sector 57 mosque, 5 vehicles were torched in Sohna and 2-3 shops have been vandalised," he adds.
We have appealed everyone to come forward if they have any information that can help us in investigation or identify the rioters, says ADGP Mamata Singh.
"Nuh was the main affected area...outside Nuh, no big incidents have happened...there were small incidents of violence, we have registered FIR and investigation is underway...we have arrested a large number of people but I don't have the exact figure right now...47 have been injured and 3 killed," she adds.
On Nuh incident, Haryana CM ML Khattar says, "This is an unfortunate incident. A Yatra was being organised during which some people conspired an attack Yatris and police. Violent incidents were reported at several places. There seems to be a big conspiracy behind this. Heavy police have been deployed in Nuh district and nearby areas. Curfew has also been imposed in Nuh and Section 144 has been imposed in some places. Around 44 FIRs have been registered and 70 people have been taken into custody. Strict actions will be taken against them. So far 5 people have lost their lives including two police officials. We will provide all possible assistance to them. I appeal to the common people to maintain peace in the district"
Opposition leaders have hit out at the BJP-led Haryana government in the wake of intense communal tension in Nuh.
Nuh SP Narendra Bijarniya says, "We have called both Hindu and Muslim committees and had separate meetings to establish a common ground and once it's established we'll have a common meeting today."
Nuh DC Prashant Pawar: "Section 144 has been imposed in the district, curfew is in place, 20 companies of Paramilitary forces are stationed in the district today, senior state officers are also here... We've divided the district into subsectors and formed joined teams of inspectors and magistrates so that we can instil normalcy as soon as possible."
Peace Committee meeting underway at Nuh Deputy Commissioner Camp office over the clash that broke out between two groups in Haryana's Nuh yesterday.
On Haryana's Nuh incident, Union Minister Krishan Pal Gujjar says "This is an unfortunate incident. I appeal to everyone to maintain brotherhood. Strict action will be taken against the people responsible for inciting violence in Haryana"
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar to hold a meeting with Home Minister Anil Vij regarding the situation in Nuh at CM's residence at 1 pm. Haryana Chief Secretary and DGP including all administrative officers will also be present in the meeting.
An alert has also been sounded in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district following violence in Nuh, officials told PTI. Superintendent of Police, Bharatpur, Mridul Kachchawa said the vigil has been intensified in the district and social media is also being monitored. He added that all checkposts in areas sharing the border with Haryana are being manned, as quoted by PTI.
A total of 23 people have been injured in the violence in Nuh including them policemen. According to PTI, the police have registered 11 FIRs in the district and detained 27 people in connection with the rioting.
The death toll due to violence in Haryana's Nuh has reached five. Meanwhile, home minister Anil Vij said that situation is under control in the district.

A clash between two groups in Haryana's Nuh on Monday has now transformed into a major concern for the state government. Two home guards, one civilian were killed and at least 15 others, including cops, were left injured after a team of police reached the area to contain the clashes. The unrest meanwhile, reached Gurugram as a mob pelted stones and torched shops and a cab near Ambedkar Chowk in the Sohna Road area, reported the news agency IANS.
According to IANS, the Gurugram district administration has intensified security and deployed huge police personnel after a mob of around 500 people pelted stones and torched four shops and a cab near Ambedkar Chowk in the Sohna road area. The morning visuals from the area showed burnt cars and shops.
Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has said that the state government will conduct a detailed investigation into the Nuh violence. "The situation in Nuh is under control and a curfew has been imposed in the district...Both communities have been staying in Nuh peacefully for a long time. There is a conspiracy behind this. The way stones, weapons, bullets were found, it seems there is a mastermind behind this. We will conduct a detailed investigation and take strict actions against the people involved in this," the Home Minister told ANI.
Meanwhile, as per ANI, Haryana government officials said that the situation is under control in Nuh, Sohna and adjoining districts. "13 Companies of Paramilitary forces have been stationed there, 6 more companies will be reaching shortly. No curfew is imposed in Faridabad, Palwal and Gurugram, However, section 144 is imposed to avoid any untoward incident in these districts. Peace Committee meeting will commence shortly in Sohna," they added, as quoted by the agency.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other leaders urged the masses to maintain peace and harmony in the state. In a tweet in Hindi, Khattar said," Today's incident is unfortunate. I appeal to all the people to maintain peace in the state. The guilty will not be spared at any cost, and strictest action will be taken against them."
