The newly launched Honda WR-V gets a cut of Rs 10,064 but Honda is yet to reveal the revised prices of the Accord Hybrid
After a series of carmakers announced their post-GST (Goods Service Tax) prices on July 1, 2017, Honda India, too, has now joined them in passing on GST benefits to its customers. Under the one tax bracket, the automobile sector has been lucky as all the cars, from budget to premium ones, attracted a drop in prices, except for hybrid vehicles, which now become costlier than before.
Starting with the Honda Brio hatch, the revised prices now call for a cut of Rs 12,279, while its compact sedan, the Amaze, gets a benefit of Rs 14, 825.
The newly launched SUV, the Honda WRV, attracts a price slash of Rs 10,064 whereas the company’s bread and butter model, the City, takes a plunge in prices in the range of Rs 16,510 – Rs 28,005.
Honda’s premium hatchback, the Jazz, saw a dip in its price by Rs 10,031. Speaking of its SUV, the Honda CRV – it gets the highest drop over its current pricing, at Rs 1.31 lakh. Interestingly, the price of the Accord Hybrid, which is likely to shoot up, has not been announced yet.
All the benefits are with respect to ex-showroom, Delhi, prices and vary from state to state.
The other carmakers who have announced post-GST benefits include Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Jaguar Land Rover, Ford and BMW.
