Reliance Jio offered the first version of JioPhone against a refundable deposit of Rs 1,500 a unit, however, customers who are looking to buy JioPhone 2 will have to pay the full amount. The feature phone has been priced at Rs 2,999 in India and customers purchasing it can opt for recharges, including Rs. 49, Rs. 99, and Rs. 153.
Major features
According to Jio’s official website, the dual-SIM JioPhone 2 runs KaiOS and features a 2.4-inch QVGA display. The phone has 512 MB RAM along 4GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB (via microSD card). With 2 megapixel back camera, the phone also has a VGA sensor. JioPhone 2 also has features such as 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and FM radio. The handset is equipped with 4-way navigation key which gives it a Blackberry type look and feel and is capable of using VoWiFi for calling over the internet. JioPhone 2 has a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 2000mAh battery.
