Redmi 9i Launch:  Even as the India-China relations continue to remain strain, there is no impact on the demand for phones from the Chinese mobile company Xiaomi. The company had launched Redmi 9 in the Indian market earlier, and now there are speculations that it is planning to launch the next budget-friendly phone Redmi 9i under the Redmi 9 series. What’s already available?

The company had launched Redmi 9 Prime earlier in August, which is a rebranded version of the global variant of Redmi 9, launched in Spain back in June while the currently launched Redmi 9 is on the lines of the Malaysian Redmi 9C launched in June.  Not only this, but the Chinese mobile maker also started with teasers on another budget-friendly phone recently namely Redmi 9A. It is now set to be unveiled on September 2 as per the company’s announcement through its social media channels on Friday.

What’s Redmi 9i Launch all about?

As per the reports by Pricebaba, a mobile comparison website, Redmi 9i will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 9A.  According to the report, the phone will be available in India in two configurations ie 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB. Besides there will be three colour options ranging from Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black.

What are expected Redmi 9i specifications?

It is expected that the dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 9i will run Android 10 with MIUI 11 or MIUI 12 on top. It may feature a 6.53-inch HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) LCD display with 20:9 aspect ratio. The sleek phone likely to be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC and most likely will come with a 4GB of RAM.

It is expected to have a single 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with a 5,000mAh battery along with support for 10W fast charging.
