NEW DELHI: ASUS on Wednesday announced the global launch of two low budget smartphones ZenFone Lite (L1) and ZenFone Max (M1), designed to put the power-packed fun back into mobile lifestyles of the affordable smartphone consumers. ZenFone Lite (L1) and ZenFone Max (M1) will be co-marketed and distributed online under the recently announced partnership between ASUS and Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce marketplace.
ZenFone Lite (L1)
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octacore Processor, ZenFone Lite (L1) features a 5.45-inch Full View 18:9 display in compact body that's as small as many 5-inch phones. ZenFone Lite (L1) is equipped with up to a 13MP rear camera with phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) and a high-quality five-element lens2.
ZenFone Lite (L1) also features face-unlock capabilities for easy hands-free unlocking. It also includes two SIM slots and a microSD card slot for adding up to 256GB of extra storage.
It has a high-capacity 3000mAh battery giving users all-day standby with extended talk times. The battery, Asus claims, supports up to 28 hours of 3G talk time, up to 4 days of music playback, video playback of up to 9 movie-length videos, up to 37 days of 4G standby time and up to 17 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing.
ZenFone Lite (L1) is available with Android Oreo out of the box enhanced with the brand-new ASUS ZenUI 5. ZenFone Lite (L1) is available in two colours: Black and Gold and priced at Rs. 5,999.
ZenFone Max (M1)
In line with the hallmark of the ZenFone Max Series ZenFone Max (M1) offers a high-capacity 4000mAh battery. It has a 5.45-inch full-view HD+ (720 x 1440) display with an ultrawide 18:9 aspect ratio and ultrathin bezels.
ZenFone Max (M1) has 13MP PixelMaster rear camera equipped with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture lens to capture clearer photos, and a phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) system that can accurately focus on the subject in just 0.03 seconds even if the subject is moving. In front it packs a 5MP selfie camera with LED flash.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core Processor and run on Android Oreo with Zen User Interface (UI) 5.0.
In addition to Finger Print Sensor, ZenFone Max (M1) features face unlock, which gives users a quick and convenient alternative to the rear fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone when fingers are wet, messy or glove-covered.
ZenFone Max (M1) is priced at Rs. 7,499.
