What time to watch?

What’s expected at the virtual event today?
It is expected that the company will not just launch one or two models, but four new models under the iPhone 12 branding supported with 5G. The event has been named “Hi, Speed” hinting at the delivery of faster experience through the new launches. It is also expected to announce “one more thing” most likely related to a new HomePod speaker or over-the-ear headphones.
If you go by the leaks so far, Apple is launching four new iPhone models at the event namely- the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the iPhone 12 mini. You will get the 5G support and their US versions are expected to have antennae for faster, mmWave frequencies. There were rumours of the launch of AirTags as well.

Till now the iPhone 12 mini seems to be the most affordable model in the latest range. It starts at a price tag of $699 (roughly Rs. 51,200). Meanwhile iPhone 12, is expected to be priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 58,600), while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max could begin at $999 (roughly Rs. 73,200) and $1,099 (roughly Rs. 80,600), respectively.

According to leaks, it is likely that iPhone 12 will have OLED Super Retina XDR displays and feature a Ceramic Shield glass cover on top. The new models are also expected to include Apple's A14 Bionic SoC that has been seen in the new iPad launch. As per the post on Weibo the new iPhone models would support 15W wireless charging that will be officially called MagSafe. It is the branding that was previously connected with the technology enabling magnetically attached power connectors of MacBooks.
The iPhone 12 mini is likely to offer a 5.4-inch display, while the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro would come with a 6.1-inch display. With iPhone 12 Pro Max you may have 6.7-inch display.
The models across the iPhone will be varied due to different camera specifications. For instance, the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 are said to have dual rear cameras, while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max would provide triple rear cameras, with the third camera being a LiDAR sensor. The iPhone 12 Pro Max is also likely to have a unique super-wide-angle camera capability. The two standard models, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 will have 4GB RAM and come with 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB storage options.
From the design perspective, all models are likely to have the same aesthetics, but it may vary because of the colour options. All four iPhone 12 models will run on iOS 14.
