Four people, including two children and two women, were killed after a car they were travelling in, collided with a tractor-trolley in the Civil Lines area of Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun, said police on Sunday. Three other persons were injured in the incident. The accident occurred on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, when the persons were returning from a wedding function said Civil Lines Station House Officer (SHO) Gaurav Kumar Bisnoi, according to PTI. He added that the car crashed into the tractor parked on the Moradabad-Farrukhabad road near Dahemi village.
Pitamber, who was driving the car, got injured along with his wife and two-year-old child. But he lost his 6-year-old son Arnab in the accident, said the police.
Other deceased persons have been identified as Surajshree (50), Shashi Yadav (25), Harsh (10) and Arnab (6). Immediately after the incident, all the injured persons were admitted to the district hospital and the bodies were sent for post-mortem, the SHO said, as reported PTI.
In a similar incident that took place on Sunday morning, one person named Zakir Hussain died and his minor son was injured after vehicle hit their two-wheeler from behind. The incident took place near the KG Chavadi check post in Tamil Nadu.
Immediately after the mishap, KG Chavadi police registered a case regarding the accident and are investigating the matter, said Coimbatore Police, as reported any ANI.
Meanwhile, in a separate case of an accident that took place on June 20, nineteen people, including women and children, were injured after a bus they were travelling rolled down into a canal in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, said officials, as reported by news agency PTI.
Officials stated the incident took place after the driver lost control of the bus in the Samotra Channi area. Immediately after the mishap, locals in the area and police personnel rushed to the accident site and sent all the injured people to the Ghagwal trauma centre.
Officials stated that some of the injured were also shifted to the Government Medical College in Jammu, reported PTI. Notably, all the injured included labourers and their family members, who were going to Kashmir to work at a brick kiln, said the police.
