Festive offers include a 5-year warranty, 8.25 per cent interest rate, low down payment and more





Hero MotoCorp has announced a slew of offers on its scooters and entry-level motorcycles for the festive season. However, the offers are currently limited to the city of Jaipur and Indore only. We expect Hero to expand these offers to other parts of the country soon. So let’s check them out, shall we?





The Maestro Edge (Rs 52,500), Duet (Rs 48,750), Pleasure (Rs 48,900) and the Super Splendor (Rs 56,800) receive benefits such as a low rate of interest, down payment of Rs 2,222 and a 5 year of warranty package. Teachers get an additional discount up to Rs 2,000.



In terms of specifications, the Maestro Edge and Duet are powered by a 110.9cc single-cylinder engine that produces 8.11PS at 7500rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5500rpm. As for the Hero Pleasure, its powered by a 102cc single-cylinder motor that makes 7PS of power at 7000rpm and a peak torque of 8.1Nm at 5000rpm. 





While the Maestro Edge and Duet use a V-matic transmission to propel the scooter forward, the Hero Pleasure employs an Automatic Centrifugal Clutch (auto gearbox) to transfer power to the rear wheel.



The Super Splendor draws power from a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 9PS at 7000rpm and 10.35Nm of torque at 4000rpm, mated to a 4-speed gearbox.





The Hero Maestro Edge competes against the TVS Jupiter (Rs 52135) and Honda Activa 5G (Rs 53169, while the Duet goes up against the Honda Aviator (Rs 54760) and TVS Wego (Rs 52071). The Hero Pleasure, on the other hand, rivals the Yamaha Fascino (Rs 54,793), Honda Activa-i (Rs 49,613) and TVS Scooty Zest (Rs 49,942). The Super Splendor is an entry-level 125cc motorcycle that goes up against the Honda CB Shine (Rs 56,973), Yamaha Saluto (Rs 56,712) and the Bajaj Discover 125 (Rs 55,603).
