New Delhi: Member of Lok Sabha and All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the government over Kashmiri Pandit exodus in the backdrop of the movie The Kashmir Files.
In an interview with ABP News, Owaisi said that who will talk against the killings of 1500 non Pandit Kashmiri Hindus in the Doda, Badarwar, and Poonch regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
He claimed that an RTI application had revealed that 89 Kashmiri Pandits in Srinagar and 209 Kashmiri Pandits all over Jammu and Kashmir were killed in the 1990s. He further questioned why the current government, which has been in power for seven years, made an independent enquiry commission to take cognizance and give recommendations on the Kashmiri Pandit exodus.

He further slammed the government asking them to provide a number of Kashmiri Pandits it has been able to bring back to the valley. “Country’s PM remembers about giving justice after watching a film?” he said.
Owaisi also said that while a film has been made to talk on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, there should also be talks about thousands of Kashmiris who have gone missing.

Meanwhile, National Conference working president and former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday, slammed filmmakers of the movie The Kashmir Files saying that it shows “many false things.”
Reacting to the movie, Omar pointed out that Farooq Abdullah was not the Chief Minister at that time, rather Governor rule was imposed in the state. He further said that BJP backed VP Singh’s Government was in the Centre during that time.
“Many false things have been shown in 'The Kashmir Files' movie. During that time Farooq Abdullah was not J&K's CM but Governor rule was there. VP Singh's govt was there in the country which was backed by BJP,” said Omar Abdullah while talking to media on the sidelines of a rally in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
