New Delhi: President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will be in India for an official visit on 24-25 April and will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as reported by the news agency ANI quoting the Ministry Of External Affairs.
"President of European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen will be on an official visit to India on 24-25 April. During her visit, she will hold bilateral talks with PM Narendra Modi. She will also meet President Ram Nath Kovind and other dignitaries," said MEA.
According to the reports, this will be her first visit to India as the President of the European Commission.
"India & European Union share a vibrant Strategic Partnership which has been witnessing strong growth with wider and deeper cooperation in Political and Strategic, Trade and Commerce, Climate and Sustainability, Digital and Technology aspects as well as people-to-people ties," ANI quoted MEA as saying.
The Ministry of External Affairs is going to organize Raisina Dialogue in Delhi, in which foreign ministers of more than two dozen countries are likely to attend.
Inducted in 2016, the Raisina Dialog is India's chief meeting held in New Delhi on international relations and geoeconomics focused on resolving the most difficult issues facing the global community.
Consistently, leaders in politics, business, media, and common society combine in New Delhi to talk about the condition of the world and investigate valuable open doors for participation in a wide scope of contemporary matters.
The Dialog is organized as a multi-partner, cross-sectoral conversation, including heads of state, cabinet ministers and local government officials, who are joined by thought leaders from the private area, media and academia.
The conference is hosted by the Observer Research Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
This work is upheld by various foundations, associations and people, who are focused on the mission of the conference.
The Raisina Dialog 2022 will be demonstrated along with six topical points of support.
The first Raisina Dialog was held from March 1-3, 2016. North of 100 speakers from more than 35 nations went to talk on the subject, "Asia: Regional and Global Connectivity".
