New Delhi: Delhi schools reopen for students of class 10th and 12th today as board exams are fast approaching, the Delhi Government issued an order on January 13th 2021 to re-open schools for practical and pre-board exam preparation. While schools are supposed to keep a record of the students attending classes, attendance is not to be enforced.
Here are the set of guidelines issued by the government:
- No symptomatic staff or student will be allowed in school campus.
- Students visiting schools will be subject to parental consent.
- Online classes will continue as per usual, so students who prefer online classes maybe permitted to continue with those.
- COVID-related precautions, including sanitization of classrooms, wearing of face masks, social distancing will be mandatorily followed.
- An orientation will be held for students and teachers with physical distancing and hygiene-related guidelines.
- These classes are for students and teachers to discuss the reduced syllabus, question paper etc.
- Students will have to maintain respiratory and hand hygine.
- Schools are to provide emotional and trauma support to students and teachers upon their return to the campus.
All schools in the national Capital have been physically shut since March last year in order to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. This will be the first time after 10 months that students will return to their campuses. According to media reports, Pre-board exams of Class 12th will be conducted between March 3rd and April 15th 2021 and Class 10th they will likely be held between April 1st and April 15th.
Board examinations are going to be held from May 4, for which pre-board, the practical exam will also be done, due to which the government allowed the school to open
