New Delhi: On Sunday Delhi Police arrested Sukhdev Singh, one of the main accused in connection to the Red Fort violence that broke out on Jan 26, he had a Rs. 50,000 bounty by the police. 
According to PTI, Sukhdev Singh was arrested from Chandigarh by the Crime Brance team, which is at the moment probing 13 cases in connection to violence. According to police, he was leading the mob at the Red Fort, he was tracked for 10 days and recieved a tip leading to his arrest.

The Delhi Police has announced reward of Rs 1 lakh for information that can lead to the arrest of actor Deep Sidhu, Jugraj Singh, Gurjot Singh and Gurjant Singh who hoisted flags at the Red Fort. Last week, Delhi Police set a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by the Joint Commissioner BK Singh and DCPs - Joy Turkey, Bhesham Singh and Monika Bhardwaj. They have been thrust upon the task to closely look into the violence that broke out in January 26th. A total of 127 people have been arrested in connection with the violence. 


On January 26th 2021, farmers were given the permission to conduct a 'peaceful' tractor rally when the day arrived what started out as a peaceful protest quickly turned violent. Initially, Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu and the gangster-turned-social activist Lakha Sidhana were named by the Delhi Police in an FIR in connection with the Red Fort incident and the violence. Hundreds of protesters gathered at the Red Fort are hoisted a 'Nishan Sahib' flag a symbol of their protest.
