New Delhi: The weather office has said there is a possibility of light to moderate rain or thundershowers in Delhi on Friday, with a forecast of a generally cloudy sky for the day.
It was humid in the morning with the minimum temperature settling at 25.1 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this time of the year.
The humidity was recorded to be at 82 per cent, PTI reported.
The temperature is likely to hover between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius through the day, AIR News said.
There was light rainfall in parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region on Thursday also, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said more rain is likely in the next three days.
Capital Delhi has already recorded 243.5 mm rainfall so far in September, surpassing the month’s average of 129.8 mm rain by a considerable margin. The city usually records only 58.3 mm rainfall during the first nine days of September, the PTI report said.
Delhi had recorded 117.7 mm rainfall in a span of 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on September 2, the highest single-day rain in the month in the last 19 years.
Weather Forecast For Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata
Mumbai: The city is likely to see a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain on the first day of the Ganesh Festival. While the minimum temperature is expected to be 25 degrees Celsius, the maximum could be around 31 degrees, AIR News reported.
Chennai: The southern metropolis is also expected to have a generally cloudy sky, with the temperature hovering between 26 degrees and 34 degrees.
Kolkata: There is prediction for moderate rain or thunderstorm. The sky will be partly cloudy and the temperature will vary from 28 degrees Celsius to around 35 degrees.
