New Delhi: Just hours after two migrants workers were shot at in Pulwama, a CRPF jawan was killed while another was injured in the Maisuma area of Srinagar on Monday, who was rushed to SMHS Hospital, according to the police.


After the incident, security forces and Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the area, and a search operation is going on. On the other hand, terrorists have attacked two non-Kashmiri people for the second time in Pulwama. Two people from Bihar have been injured in this attack.






"Unreservedly condemn the cowardly attack in Maisuma, Srinagar earlier in the day, in which one CRPF personnel lost his life. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. Prayers for the swift recovery of the one injured," the National Conference tweeted.


Party vice president Omar Abdullah also condemned the jawan's killing.


"I add my words of condemnation to those of my colleagues & send my condolences to the family of the CRPF jawan killed in the line of duty. Prayers for the injured jawan in the hope that he makes a full recovery," he said.






PDP president Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, "Condemn attack on CRPF personnel in Maisuma this afternoon. This senseless violence doesn't yield anything apart from inflicting miseries on the innocent families of those killed. My condolences to the family and prayers for the injured."






JK Pradesh Congress Committee and the Apni Party also condemned the killing of the CRPF personnel.


Earlier today, terrorists shot dead two non-locals in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Monday. Officials said this is the second attack by terrorists on non-locals in the last 24 hours. He said that terrorists opened fire on Patleshwar Kumar and Jako Choudhary on Monday afternoon at Lijora in Pulwama. Both are residents of Bihar.


“Two non-locals were shot at and injured by militants in the Lijora area on Monday,” a police official said.


Earlier on Sunday evening, terrorists shot two non-local laborers in the Nowpora area of ​​Pulwama. Both were residents of Punjab.

On March 29, a CRPF bunker in the Sopore town of Baramulla was attacked by an overground worker wearing a burqa. The woman's connection is said to be related to Lashkar-e-Taiba. Police has arrested the accused. She has been found involved in some criminal cases in the past as well.


Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora police busted two terrorist modules on Sunday. The police had arrested four militant aides of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to the police, they were providing logistics and transportation facilities to the terrorists in the district. 


“On a specific input security forces recovered one Chinese Grenade in Ashtango area of Bandipora along with terror associates identified as Irfan Ahmad Bhat resident of Ashtango, Sajad Ahmad Mir resident of Arin and Irfan Ahmad Jan resident of Qazipora Bandipora and other incriminating material was also recovered from their possession,” reads the statement.


There have been two operations in the district against those seen as terrorists. Police have recovered two grenades from them. An FIR has been registered in this matter and the matter is being investigated.


“Irfan Aziz Bhat resident of Hajin was also in touch with Pakistan based terrorist Umer Lala and killed terrorist Saleem Parray of Hajin. The Said terror associate along with his Pakistan based terrorist were planning to create terror incident in Hajin area,” said police.
