New Delhi: The national capital Delhi on Friday has witnessed another dip in its daily Covid-19 cases after as many 4,044 people tested positive for the infection, said the city's health bulletin data.


The most recent figures are 5.7% lower than Thursday when 4,291 new Covid-19 cases were accounted for in the national capital. The aggregate count of Delhi has now arrived at 18,19,332, the bulletin information showed.






The positivity rate of the cases in Delhi has also dropped below 9% in 24 hours - from 9.56% on Thursday to 8.60% today. While 25 people have lost their lives to the illness as opposed to 34 on Thursday. The death toll of Delhi has now ascended to 25,769, the data revealed.


However, the quantity of new recoveries has dropped for the second sequential day following 8,042 patients recovering from the disease.


On Thursday, 9,397 individuals recovered, down from 11,164 the day before. Delhi has up to this point seen an aggregate of 17,64,411 recovered from COVID-19, according to the released information.


Today, more tests, which include both RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), were conducted in Delhi. 47,042 tests were carried out across the city, up from 44,903 on Thursday. Moreover, hospitalisation numbers declined below 2,000 in wake of the reduction in the single-day Covid-19 cases of the city.


Mumbai COVID-19 cases tally


In a continuous decline in daily cases, Mumbai on Friday reported 1,312 new COVID-19 cases, 4,990 recoveries, and 10 people died due to complications related to the infection, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.






The total tally of cases in Mumbai is 10,43,059, and the death toll to 16,591, as per the BMC data. Meanwhile, one of the largest slums in Asia, Dharavi recorded no new cases on Friday after a gap of over a month, officials were cited as saying by PTI.
