New Delhi: A day after reporting 1.5 lakh new Coronavirus cases, India has continued to maintain the declining trend in new cases as the country reported 1,27,510 new COVID-19 cases, 2,55,287 discharges and 2,795 deaths in last 24 hrs. This is the lowest in 54 days.
As per Union Health Ministry, active caseload further declines to 18,95,520 as active cases decreased by 1,30,572 in past one day.

The ministry is its latest health bulletin on Tuesday morning reported that total 2,59,47,629 recoveries reported across the country so far after 2,55,287 patients recovered during last 24 hours. Recovery rate continues to increase, at 92.09 per cent today. Weekly positivity rate currently pegged at 8.64 per cent and daily positivity rate dips to 6.62 per cent.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) meanwhile said that a total of 34,67,92,257 samples for Covid-19 have been tested up to May 31. Of which 19,25,374 samples were tested yesterday. Testing capacity substantially ramped up- 34.67cr tests total conducted.
Meanwhile, the central government has said that 21.6 Cr. Vaccine Doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
Government of India has so far provided, both through the free of cost category and through direct state procurement category, more than 23 crore vaccine doses (23,18,36,510) to States/UTs.
