We all know that CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) kits for cars are not available on any guarantee, however, the government of India is planning to make it compulsory for manufacturers of CNG and LPG kits for cars to provide guarantee on these products. According to the report published on ET, the ministry will be meeting with the manufacturers later this week, and it is expected that they will finalise the proposal and it would be operational by the next 3-4 months.

Speaking to the ET, a road official said that, "This week, kit manufacturers have been called for a meeting with the ministry to decide on how to operationalise the guarantee for kits". The government is aiming to offer authentic and safe products to buyers. "We are hopeful that in the next 3-4 months it would be operationalised," he added.

CNG and LPG are reserved under distinct pressures and are used in vehicles that have been specially manufactured to house any of the two fuels. The Road ministry is now focusing more on environment friendly and energy efficient vehicles, and it is expected that they might soon give approval to the proposal of allowing 'quadricycle' to run on Indian roads.
