New Delhi: Several leaders, including the President, have extended their wishes to the devotees on the occasion of Chhath Puja. The four-day mega festival will conclude on Thursday after offering 'Arghya' to the rising sun. 


According to custom, devotees will be offering Arghya to the setting sun today. The Chhath Puja is being celebrated in full swing across the country, including Bihar, the bordering areas of Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi.


Several leaders, including the President, have extended their wishes to devotees on this auspicious occasion. In a tweet, President Ram Nath Kovind said, "On the occasion of Chhath Puja, I extend my warm wishes to all our fellow citizens. This festival is also an opportunity to accept our dependence on nature, especially the sun and water. May this festival strengthen our cultural heritage as well as strengthen our efforts to protect the environment."






Prime Minister Narendra Modi greets devotees


Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes on the Chhath Puja. He tweeted, "Best wishes to everyone on Chhath, the festival of Sun worship. May Goddess Chhath bless you all with good health, happiness and good luck."






 


Rahul Gandhi extends his wishes 


Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also greeted the people on the occasion of Chhath Puja. He tweeted, "Sun's Arghya, Chhati Mata's blessings and support of the family...Best wishes for the Chhath festival."
