Man Threatens To Blow Up Patna Railway Station
On Tuesday, in a smilar incident, a man was arrested for making a hoax call threatning to blow up Patna Railway Station. He later gave a strange reason saying that he was angry at his wife for eloping with her lover which made him make the threat call. After receiving the call, Railway Protection Force (RPF), along with the General Railway Police (GRP), immediately swung into action and launched a search operation.
Search operations were carried out across all 10 platforms. Officials also searched the baggage of passengers on the platforms as well as in the trains that were arriving. Bomb and dog squads were also called in to assist the RPF in search operation.
Bomb threat calls have been made to the Patna Railway station in the past. In December last year, a call was made of a bomb planted at the junction but it turned out to be a hoax after the RPF sprung into action and began investigations.
