Slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh was on Friday admitted to the Advanced Cardiac Centre of the PGIMER here after complaint of vascular blockage. Balkaur Singh, whose son was shot dead in daylight on May 29 close to his Moosa village in Punjab on May 28, had complained of uneasiness on Thursday night, IANS reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to Uzbekistan to attend the SCO summit 2022 on September 16. 


Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, who was arrested more than three months ago in a money laundering case, will be questioned today over the capital's now-retracted liquor sales policy. ED will interrogate AAP leader Satyendar Jain in Tihar Jail today. According to sources, ED will interrogate Jain at 11 am today. Rouse Avenue Court allowed ED to interrogate the leader on dates September 16, 22, and 23.


Yoga expert and entrepreneur Baba Ramdev will a press conference on September 16, in New Delhi. Ramdev plans "to expose conspiracies and efforts of rumour-mongers who spread false facts and figures with vested motives to disparage Patanjali and its Swadeshi Movement in the direction of stronger and healthier India” at the press meet.

Delhi Weather Forecast: IMD Predicts More Rain And Cloudy Sky For Friday


Rain lashed several parts of the national capital on Thursday and brought down the maximum temperature to the month's lowest so far resulting in much-needed relief to the people from sultry heat. The weather office has predicted more rains for Friday.


The rain coupled with winds plummeted the mercury to the month's lowest so far and provided respite to residents from sultry heat.


"The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 31.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. This is also the lowest maximum temperature of the month so far," an IMD official said.


The weather office also forecast light rain and a cloudy sky for Friday. The IMD said the city's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 31 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Friday.
