A fire broke out on Monday in three temporary shelters for workers engaged in the Central Vista project near Parliament House in central Delhi, officials said.
No casualties have been reported.
The fire department said that the information regarding the blaze in the high-security area was received at 4.16 PM, following which five fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
According to a senior police officer, the shelters were for workers involved in the Central Vista project. (PTI)
Around 30 Congress workers were detained in Rajkot in Gujarat while protesting on Monday against price rise.
Several protesters were seen wearing garlands made of vegetables, while others carried cutouts of gas cylinders and fuel dispensers and placards with slogans against the ruling BJP as well as price rise.
"The protest was led by the party's Rajkot city president Arjun Khatariya. It also included members of the women's wing. Each garland of vegetables may have cost Rs 500 going by the way prices for essential items are skyrocketing," said a Congress functionary.
"The protest was organised to wake up the BJP government, which is sleeping while people are distressed. Everything from cooking gas cylinders, to clothes, urea is now costlier," Katariya said. (PTI)

Survey Of Gyanvapi Mosque Expected To Conclude On May 16
The survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid will most likely be completed tomorrow, according to Sudhir Tripathi, an advocate representing the Hindu side, news agency ANI reported. The survey began earlier today, with considerable police surveillance.
"There will be a survey tomorrow as well, and it appears that the survey will be completed tomorrow. About 80% of the work has been accomplished," the lawyer stated.
The survey of Gyanvapi Masjid must be completed by May 17 and a full report submitted to the Varanasi Court.

Patna High Court Directs Bihar Top Cop To Produce Sahara Chief Before It On May 16
