Delhi Metro Blue Line Services To Be Disrupted On October 2
Due to scheduled maintenance work on a segment of the route, Delhi Metro operations on the Blue Line would be interrupted during the first half of October 2, authorities stated on Friday.
The well-known route connects Noida Electronic City with Dwarka Sector 21 in Delhi and runs from Yamuna Bank station to Vaishali.
According to information provided by DMRC, service interruptions are a result of maintenance being done on the blue line's segment between Yamuna Bank and Akshardham.
"To undertake the scheduled track maintenance work between Yamuna Bank and Akshardham section on the Blue Line i.E. Line-3/4 (Dwarka Sec-21 to Noida Electronic City (NEC)/Vaishali), train services on the morning of 2nd October 2022 (Sunday) will be regulated," the DMRC tweeted.
Bengaluru Civic Body Bans Animal Slaughter, Sale of Meat on Gandhi Jayanti
On Friday, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) released a circular prohibiting the sale of beef on October 2 throughout all of Bengaluru in observance of Gandhi Jayanti. According to the civic organization's decision, all meat markets and slaughterhouses that fall under its purview would be closed on Sunday.
The civic organisation has enforced such a prohibition previously. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had earlier in August prohibited the sale and slaughter of beef on Janmashtami, Martyrs' Day, and Ganesh Chaturthi.
The meat ban order was issued at a time when Karnataka is dominating headlines because to the PFI prohibition.
