During the meeting, he handed over several letters to the Lt governor, one of which also suggested that the number of nominated members which stood at 10 till the trifurcation of the erstwhile unified MCD, and was later made to 10 each for the three new corporations, be "reduced" and that "mistake be amended".
AAP councillor and Leader of Opposition in the BJP-led EDMC Manoj Tyagi hit out at the mayor over "complaining about nominated members" and suggesting reduction in the number of members who are nominated, alleging that the mayor has "forgotten the sanctity of his post" and acting like a "BJP member".
During the meeting, Aggarwal also reiterated his demand that the eight nominated AAP members of the BJP-led East Delhi Municipal Corporation, who along with 12 other AAP councillors were suspended by him for 15 days, on September 27 for allegedly creating ruckus and indulging in misconduct during the proceedings of the House, be dismissed.

Britain has repeatedly trumpeted its mass vaccination programme against Covid-19, hailing its early approval of jabs as a key part of the long struggle to return to normal life.
But infection rates remain stubbornly high, contrasting sharply with its European neighbours and prompting fresh questions of the government.
For two weeks, the number of new cases has wavered between 35,000 and 40,000 a day, and on Monday nudged closer to 50,000 -- the highest since the July peak of the "Delta" variant outbreak.
The daily death count has often exceeded 100 since the summer, adding to an overall toll of more than 138,000, second only to Russia in Europe.
"Sadly, at the moment the UK has a higher level of Covid-19 than most other comparable countries, this is seen not just in positive tests but in hospital admissions and deaths," said Jim Naismith, professor of structural biology at the University of Oxford.

North Korea fired a ballistic missile into the sea on Tuesday, South Korea's military said, the latest in a series of tests by Pyongyang as a US envoy repeated calls for dialogue, reported AFP.
The "unidentified ballistic missile" was fired from Sinpo into the sea east of the peninsula, Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement.
"South Korean and US intelligence are closely analysing for additional detail," it added.
Sinpo, where the missile was fired, is a major naval shipyard and satellite photographs have previously shown submarines at the facility.
The North is known to be developing a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) and previously carried out an underwater launch, although analysts said that one was likely to have been from a submerged platform rather than a submarine.
