Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) in its letter to ECI states, "Several communications & actions of ECI have given rise to a serious apprehension of bias in the mind of the respondent (Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray)."

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday administered the oath of office to Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey as Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh here.

Justice Magrey, who was born on December 8, 1960, in Wattoo village of Damhal Hanjipora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, is the 35th Chief Justice of the High Court.
Chief Justice Magrey received school education in his native village and did his graduation and LLB (Honours) from the University of Kashmir.
He was enrolled as an advocate in the year 1984 and started practicing law in the district courts including revenue courts and tribunals

We call on Pakistan to stop cross-border terrorism so our citizens can enjoy their right to life and liberty."

PM Modi To Flag Off Fourth Vande Bharat Train In Himachal Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the country's fourth Vande Bharat Express train and launch a slew of developmental projects in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. In Una, PM Modi will flag off the inaugural run of the new Vande Bharat Express from Amb Andaura to New Delhi, dedicate the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) to the nation, and lay the foundation stone of a Bulk Drug Park.
In Chamba district, PM Modi will lay the foundation stones of two hydropower projects and launch the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III in Himachal Pradesh. He will also address two public meetings in Una and Chamba.
Himachal Pradesh is going to polls later this year.
Supreme Court Likely To Pronounce Verdict On Karnataka Hijab Ban
The Supreme Court is likely to pronounce its verdict on the petitions challenging the decision of the Karnataka High Court which refused to lift the ban on hijab in schools and colleges of Karnataka, as reported by news agency ANI.
A bench of Justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia, after hearing 10 days of arguments, had on September 22 reserved its verdict on the petitions against the Karnataka High Court's decision refusing to lift the ban on hijab.
President Droupadi Murmu On 2-Day Tour To Assam From Thursday
President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Guwahati on Thursday on her maiden trip to Assam. She will roll out a host of projects like 100 model schools in tea gardens and a medical college. Murmu will reach the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport from Agartala on Thursday to commence her two-day visit, according to an official release.
On the first day, the president will virtually inaugurate and lay the foundations stones for various central and state projects from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
These include the supercomputer facility, 'Param Kamrupa', and the laboratory for the design and development of high-power microwave components at the IIT Guwahati.
Murmu will also inaugurate the Dhubri Medical College and Hospital, and lay the foundation stone for the zonal institutes of the National Institute of Virology at Dibrugarh as well as Jabalpur, Madhya.
