President Murmu Will Flag Off 3 Trains Today


President Droupadi Murmu will flag off three trains from the Badampahar railway station in Odisha on Tuesday, reported news agency PTI. The trains are -- Shalimar-Badampahar and Badampahar-Rourkela weekly express trains and one MEMU between Badampahar and Tatanagar. These will connect tribal areas with bigger cities and give a huge boost to the local economy, access to healthcare and tribal tourism, among others, a railway official told the news agency.


According to the railways, the Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express will be the first-ever express train connecting Shalimar near Kolkata in West Bengal with Badampahar in Odisha. The other weekly express train will connect the areas of Badampahar with Rourkela, the Steel City of India.


Tatanagar-Badampahar MEMU, the third train will be important for daily commuters as it will run six days a week except Sunday.


 


Gyanvapi Row: District Court To Hear Issue Of Handing Over Basement Key To DM


The Varanasi district court will on Tuesday hear in the matter related to the "handing over" of the basement of 'Vyas ji ka tehkhana' located in the Gyanvapi complex to the district magistrate.


According to the counsel of the Hindu side Madan Mohan Yadav, a lawyer who had filed an application before the district judge to make him a party in this case, had to present his side on Monday but the hearing was put off following the death of an advocate. Then, District Judge AK Vishwesh fixed November 21 for further hearing on the matter.


Yadav has pleaded that the key to the basement be handed over to the district magistrate due to apprehensions that the contents of the basement could be tampered with.
