AAP leader Raaj Kumar Anand will soon assume charge as a minister in the Delhi Cabinet, with President Droupadi Murmu accepting the government's recommendation in this regard. The appointment was announced in a gazette notification issued on Tuesday.

Home Minister Amit Shah In Himachal On Two-Day Visit
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address six rallies in two days in Himachal Pradesh. He will also hold closed-door organisational meetings during his visit.
Shah will stay the intervening night of November 1 and 2 in Shimla and is likely to hold a meeting with the senior leaders of the BJP's state unit, PTI reported.
He will hold a rally each in Bhattiyat, Karsog and Kusumpatti assembly segments on November 1. The next day, he will hold a rally each in Dhramshala, Nandon and Nalagarh.
Puducherry To Celebrate De Facto Merger Day With Indian Union
Chief Minister N Rangasamy will unfurl the national flag at Gandhi Thidal in Puducherry on Tuesday to mark the 68th anniversary of the 'de facto merger' of Puducherry and the other constituent regions of Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam (which were French establishments) with the Indian Union, PTI reported.
Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister Rangasamy, Home Minister A Namassivayam and ministers extended their greetings to the people of Puducherry on the eve of the anniversary of the de facto merger.
In her message, Soundararajan greeted the people saying that the Union Territory has made stupendous progress since the merger and contributed a lot for national integration.
The territorial government has declared Tuesday a holiday for all offices and institutions.
Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam became part of India after transfer of power on November 1, 1954 through a referendum held in Kizhoor village near here on October 18 that year.
