No decision has been taken by NTAGI on vaccinating children between the age group of 5-12 years against COVID19: Sources told news agency ANI.
Local authorities announced an 11-hour curfew in Punjab's Patiala district on Friday after four people were injured when two groups clashed over an anti-Khalistan march . The curfew will be enforced between 7 pm Friday and 6 am Saturday, according to an order issued by Patiala district magistrate Sakshi Sawhney.

New Delhi [india], April 29 (ANI): Chief Justice of India N V Ramana, while addressing a conference of the Chief Justices on Friday, said that 126 judicial vacancies were filled in various High Courts in less than a year, expressed expectations of 50 more appointments.
Highlighting the issue of vacancies, CJI Ramana said, "Due to our collective efforts, we could fill 126 vacancies in various High Courts, in less than a year. We are expecting 50 more appointments. This remarkable feat could be achieved because of your wholehearted co-operation and commitment to the institution." CJI Ramana requested the Chief Justices of High Courts, which are still having a number of vacancies, to forward the names for elevation at the earliest. He also expresses happiness about the response from some of the High Courts, which according to him, has been extremely encouraging.
"In the past one year, we have got nine new judges to the Supreme Court and 10 new Chief Justice for High Courts. I thank my brothers in the Collegium for their cooperation. I am looking forward to a fruitful and productive discussion today on all the agenda items," CJI Ramana said, who was chairing the 39 Conference of Chief Justices of various High Courts of the country.
In his welcome address to the conference, CJI Ramana said that today, in addition to taking stock of the progress made in the implementation of the resolutions adopted six years ago, they will also be taking up discussion on the 6 agenda items including strengthening of IT infrastructure and connectivity at all court complexes pan India on priority basis, Human Resources / Personnel Policy - Needs of district courts, Infrastructure and capacity building.
Institutionalising the mechanism for augmenting and creating state-of-the-art judicial infrastructure, institutional and legal reforms, the appointment of High Court Judges, Emoluments of High Court Judges, and augmenting post retiral benefits of High Court Judges were among other agenda items that would be discussed in the conference.
CJI Ramana also pointed out the COVID pandemic and said, "On the judicial side, the Courts across the country have offered huge respite to the people who were struggling to survive the pandemic. I congratulate all of you for contributing to the humanitarian efforts in your own way." (ANI)

India's peak power demand met or the highest supply in a day touched the all-time high of 204.65 GW on Thursday amid ongoing heatwave sweeping through vast swathes of the country increasing demand for electricity.
"During the current month of April, 2022 (Up to 28th April, till 14:50 Hours), peak power demand met has increased by 12.1 per cent to 204.653 GW from 182.559 GW during same period previous year," a source said.
On Tuesday, the maximum all India power demand met or the highest supply in a day was at the record level 201.06 GW. The peak power supply had surpassed last year's maximum demand met of 200.53 GW on 7th July, 2021.
However, the power demand surpassed the supply as there was a deficit of 8.22 GW on Tuesday, according to the official data.
Similarly, there was unmet power demand of 10.29 GW on Wednesday even as the highest supply on that day was at 200.65 GW.
The demand for power is expected to rise further in coming days as the weather department has predicted that heatwave sweeping through the country will intensify in the next five days.
The IMD has issued an "orange" alert for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra, and predicted a rise of another two degrees Celsius in northwest region.
A heatwave spell will persist over northwest and central India during the next five days and over east India during the next three days, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast said on Thursday.
In the month of March this year, the growth in energy demand has been around 8.9 per cent as per the ministry's statement. Further, it stated that the demand is expected to reach about 215-220 GW in months of May-June, the ministry had stated. (PTI)

PM Modi To Inaugurate Global Patidar Business Summit On Friday
According to the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Global Patidar Business Summit through video conferencing on Friday.
Sardardham, an organisation of Patidars, a numerically powerful caste in Gujarat, is hosting the summit under the banner of "Mission 2026" to lend impetus to the community's socio-economic growth.
The summit is conducted every two years, according to the PMO, and the first two were held in Gandhinagar in 2018 and 2020, respectively, while this one is being held in Surat.
The Global Patidar Business Summit 2022's main theme is 'Aatmanirbhar Community to Aatmanirbhar Gujarat and India.'
The three-day summit, scheduled for April 29 to May 1, will address topics such as government industrial strategy, MSMEs, start-ups, and innovation, among others, according to the PMO.
India-Vietnam Flights To Restart Operations From Friday
Vietjet has stated that six flights between India and Vietnam would resume on April 29.
In response, the airline issued a statement noting that flights on the Delhi-Hanoi and Delhi-Ho Chi Minh City routes, which were operational prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, will resume on April 29 and 30, respectively.
Flights between Mumbai and Phu Quoc, as well as New Delhi and Phu Quoc, will begin on September 9.
