Rahul Gandhi To Attend Congress Training Camp In Rajasthan


Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will attend a training camp of the party at Mount Abu in Rajasthan's Sirohi district on Tuesday. Party sources said Gandhi will arrive at Udaipur airport by a flight from Delhi and will go to Mount Abu in a chopper. He will attend 'Sarvodaya Sangam' camp, PTI reported.


Nitish Kumar To Meet Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Today


Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will meet his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar on May 9, amid talks of regional parties coming together ahead of the 2024 general elections, PTI quoted officials as saying. Kumar will meet Patnaik at ‘Naveen Niwas’ here around 12 pm, they said.


The Bihar CM and JD(U) leader had recently announced that he would travel across the country to unite opposition parties ahead of the Lok Sabha polls next year.


He has already met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, and Left leaders Sitaram Yechury and D Raja. Patnaik, the BJD supremo, had also met Banerjee in March.


VHP, Bajrang Dal To Organise Chanting Of 'Hanuman Chalisa' Across India


The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and its youth wing Bajrang Dal on Sunday said that have decided to chant 'Hanuman Chalisa' on May 9 throughout the country -- a day before the Karnataka Assembly elections.


The call comes as a counter to the Congress party which in its manifesto released last week said it was committed to taking firm and decisive action against individuals and organisations spreading hatred amongst communities on grounds of caste and religion.


The Congress had said, "We believe that law and Constitution is (are) sacrosanct and cannot be violated by individuals and organisations like Bajrang Dal, PFI or others promoting enmity or hatred, whether among majority or minority communities. We will take decisive action as per law including imposing a ban on such organisations".
