President Murmu To Embark On Two Day Visit To West Bengal Today 


President Droupadi Murmu will begin a two-day trip to West Bengal on Monday, during which she would visit Santiniketan to attend the annual convocation of Visva-Bharati, according to a statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, news agency PTI reported.


On Monday, the president will pay his respects to Subhash Chandra Bose at Netaji Bhawan in Kolkata. She would pay respect to Rabindranath Tagore in Jorasanko Thakurbari later in the day, according to the announcement.


The president will attend a civic banquet in her honour at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata later that evening, according to the statement. The president will pay a visit to Belur Math the following day.


She will also attend the UCO Bank's 80th anniversary ceremony in Kolkata. The president will thereafter go to Santiniketan to attend Visva-annual Bharati's convocation, according to the statement.


IMA To Hold Black Day On March 27, Calls Out Rajasthan Government's Health Bill


The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has declared March 27, Monday, as Black Day in protest of the Rajasthan government's Right to Health Bill.


"We would like to bring to your attention that the Rajasthan Government has recently imposed the Right to Health Bill, The Indian Medical Association has decided to organize a Black Day on 27th of March 2023, Monday, to protest against this Bill and show our solidarity with Rajasthan Doctors," the IMA statement released addressing doctors nationwide said.


The announcement was sent via the IMA's official Twitter account.


They produced a series of agendas for Black Day, urging the repeal of the health-care reform.


The Indian Medical Association has published an official statement stating that all physicians in all states and local chapters would be wearing black badges.


They also want to meet with district officials and send a memorandum to the Union and Rajasthan Ministries.


They will also conduct urgent GB and executive meetings, issue a resolution in favour of IMA Rajasthan, and reject the contentious Right to Health Bill. Send an email to the Federal Government and the Rajasthan government in this regard.


They will subsequently attend the nationwide protest meeting online on March 27, 2023, at 8 p.m.
